About The Position

BeOne is a global oncology company dedicated to discovering and developing innovative treatments that are more affordable and accessible to cancer patients worldwide. The company focuses on Solid Tumors and Hematology, developing therapies that target specific disease pathways with biomarker-defined patient populations. This newly-created Commercial Companion Diagnostics (CDx) role is part of the Global Commercial Strategy & Operations (GCSO) Solid Tumor franchise team and will report to the VP, GCSO Solid Tumors. The role involves designing and implementing commercial strategies to ensure global availability, access, and operational excellence of companion diagnostics. The individual will collaborate closely with R&D development teams, global Brand teams, and market-based colleagues to ensure the successful market launch, adoption, and reimbursement of precision medicine therapies by ensuring the corresponding diagnostic test is available, accurate, and widely used to identify the right patients at the right time.

Requirements

  • BA/BS Degree
  • 10+ years of commercial experience in the pharmaceutical or diagnostic industries.
  • Previous oncology precision medicine experience.
  • Demonstrated experience and expertise executing a successful global pharmaceutical/biotech oncology companion diagnostic launch at either test manufacturer or pharma/biotech company.
  • Demonstrated track record in the ability to collaborate and influence peers and cross-function stakeholders to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.
  • Ability to work independently across senior level stakeholders and demonstrates judgement of what needs to be escalated.
  • Strong team player with demonstrated ability to engage experts from a wide range of functional areas to improve business performance and find a path forward.
  • Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, detail- and action-oriented, creative, flexible, and self-motivated.
  • Proven track record of translating key insights into meaningful strategies and tactics.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for a wide range of audiences.
  • Solid understanding of the current Global and US pharmaceutical environment, including Regulatory, Legal, Compliance and Market Access/Reimbursement.

  • Previous experience with leading the launch of a CDx and corresponding oncology Rx therapy within a pharma/biotech company.
  • Multiple functions experience is preferred as well as experience in global, region or affiliate level.
  • Experience in oncology and/or hematology-oncology preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the commercial evaluation of diagnostics platforms / assays and provide input to R&D colleagues in commercial requirements for a registration-ready CDx.
  • Build CDx commercialization strategies that are aligned to the corresponding Rx strategies and which take into account the global ambition for our therapies and any regional differences in commercial CDx requirements.
  • Develop and implement plans for successful launch of CDx programs and partnerships.
  • Build current and future competitive advantage by understanding & addressing key customers’ needs, and by demonstrating deep understanding of competitors’ strategies.
  • Develop productive partnerships with test manufacturers, testing laboratories, and leading pathologists and represent BeOne commercial perspectives throughout the CDx lifecyle.
  • Provide commercial diagnostics expertise and guidance for early development teams (EDTs), global product teams (GPTs), and other teams at various stages of development.
  • Educate internal stakeholders on the CDx market and critical success factors.
  • Expand testing access globally so that CDx and associated precision medicines have complementary commercial goals.
  • Support CDx market launch readiness with global brand and local affiliate teams.
  • Work with local BeOne teams and the test manufacturer to ensure payer coverage for the CDx.
  • Develop and track KPIs, including testing adoption rate, turnaround time , and other operational metrics.
  • Develop and oversee budget for assigned initiatives.
  • Develop internal and external customer relationships that successfully drive business objectives.
  • As needed, provide subject matter expertise (SME) to individuals and teams within the hematology franchise.
