If youre passionate about using technology to improve human life, this is where your work truly matters What you will accomplish in this role The IPEC Director (Interprofessional Education and Collaboration) also known as the Director of Clinical Training and Education is responsible for the direction, day-to-day coordination, and execution of the learning programs that support initiatives, products, and features for Digital Transformation & Innovation (DT&I). This role will partner directly with the technical, clinical, business, change management, and strategy stakeholders within DT&I, as well as educational stakeholders across HCA. External partnerships in the Clinical and Academic community will be supported by this role for the educational and organizational structures to strengthen patient centered, team-based health care. The Director will be responsible for coordinating the work of IPEC with project management for each featured clinical project. The Director is an education and training specialist who possesses a strong understanding of andragogy and the development, delivery, and evaluation of educational activities that address a variety of learning styles. Their primary function is to assess and support the competency development of clinicians and other health related professionals in the acquisition of individual and collaborative competencies within a busy health care organization. They are proactive in supporting the strategy and features of the DT&I portfolio.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree - Required
  • Specialty skills in educational design, development, implementation and evaluation - Required
  • Master's degree in healthcare, education/training, or related domain - Required
  • Clinical License - Required
  • Strong facilitation skills - Required
  • Previous experience working with interprofessional team building - Required

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day coordination and collaboration with DT&I teams and innovation locations to understand the current state opportunities for IPEC interventions to support the DT&I strategies and products.
  • Execute educational assessment and gap analysis to inform educational activities, development, and execution.
  • Coordinate Advisory Committee meetings.
  • Utilize metric indicators of educational performance, including learner experience and attainment of identified competencies.
  • Develop educational approaches that are creative, agile, and effective.
  • Execute on culture influenced engagement strategies.
  • Communicate IPEC strategies and tactics with facility staff, leadership, and committees in innovation locations within HCA.
  • Facilitate cooperative approach to partnership through effective communication, both written and verbal, with HCA partners.
  • Report and escalate issues and risks to the IPEC AVP as necessary.
