About The Position

Following the strategic direction, provide leadership and overall administrative direction for planning, organizing, and directing all functions related to Clinical Training and Education. Designs and manages execution of work, including delegation, empowering others, removing obstacles, providing resources, coordinating efforts, and monitoring processes within Clinical Training and Education across the enterprise. Collaborates with Enterprise Graduate Medical Education (GME), Interprofessional Continuing Education (IPCE), Library and Simulation office administration. Collaborates with UME/APP student leadership to assist with alignment of UME and GME processes across the Enterprise. Influences others, gaining support, commitment, and action to accomplish key initiatives. Builds effective teams in clinical training and education, fosters collaboration. Seeks input from others and makes sound, effective decisions. Creates an atmosphere of open communication, encouraging free expression of ideas and opinions. Committed to delivering quality services. Focuses on customer requirements, whether teammates, learners, or external agencies by anticipating needs and taking action to meet them. Balances departmental interests with larger organizational needs. Collaborate with GME to design a tracking system for internal/external rotations and visiting residents/fellows in order to support accurate reporting for the Medical Cost Report, contributing to the financial sustainability of clinical education programs. Provide support for proforma development for new and expanding programs. Identifies opportunities for operational improvements and cost reduction. Track and recommend increases in annual salaries, benefits and allowances for all Sponsoring Institutions. Provide Cost Analysis and presentations to demonstrate the ROA for Undergraduate Medical Education, Graduate Medical Education, Interprofessional Continuing Education, Library and Simulation, as needed. Assists in fee management (billing and collection) as needed. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and accreditation standards, coordinating alignment of ACGME Institutional Policies across all Sponsoring Institutions. This will require the approval of all 19 Institutional Policies by the seven Graduate Medica Education Committees. Provide oversite for an Enterprise Data Analysis to maintain an annual GME, CME and Simulation dashboard in collaboration with CAPTURE database at the WFU School of Medicine.. Assist in data collection for GME workforce planning, develop and maintain approval process for international travel, track inter-Enterprise rotations for residents desiring electives in an Advocate Health Sponsoring Institution, etc. Participate in key philanthropic projects with the Kern Foundation and other organizations on behalf of the Clinical Training and Education division. Assist in the development of the agenda and presentations for the GME Quarterly Summit and other Enterprise leadership meetings. Provides oversight on websites for recruitment purposes, orientation to social media, and effective communication regarding Graduate Medical Education, Interprofessional Continuing Education, Libraries and Simulation opportunities. Develop standardized templates for Program Letters of Agreement, Affiliation agreements, and contracts. Assist in establishing a centralized repository for all documents and leads the development of a standardized onboarding process for residents and fellows, ensuring compliance and consistency across clinical sites.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in business administration or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 7 years of GME leadership experience in a complex, matrixed environment with multiple locations or regions required.
