The Director of Clinical Research directs and oversees the clinical research function for Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute (OCSRI). In coordination with the Research Medical Director, develops and executes the strategic vision for the research program, including responsibility for driving program growth, expanding the clinical trial portfolio, increasing patient access to research opportunities, and strengthening relationships with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research partners. Provides leadership and operational oversight for Phase I through Phase IV clinical trials, including early-phase, observational, registry, and theragnostic studies. Collaborates with research physicians, clinical leaders, and administrative leadership to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, patient-centered, and financially sustainable research program. Oversees the development and performance of research operations, quality, and compliance functions, including the implementation of action plans designed to improve practice-based research operations, regulatory compliance, quality assurance, patient enrollment, study activation, and overall program performance. Supports and adheres to the Oklahoma Cancer Specialists and Research Institute Compliance Program, to include the Code of Ethics and Business Standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or healthcare discipline required.
  • Ten years of experience in clinical research, oncology preferred.
  • Regulatory and research data management experience required.
  • Minimum of three years of supervisory experience is required.
  • Strong communication, analysis, and negotiation skills.
  • Computer skills including MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint required.

  • Master’s degree preferred.
