Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree Pharmacy or PharmD Required
  • PGY2 Residency in pharmacy practice or 5 years in institutional clinical pharmacy practice Required
  • 5 years experience in clinical pharmacy practice in an institutional setting and PGY2 Residency or relevant combination of education and experience Required
  • 3 years general experience in clinical pharmacy practice in a multi-hospital integrated delivery network academic medical center Required
  • PA Pharmacist License Required
  • Cert Pharmacotherapy Spec Required

Nice To Haves

  • Master's Degree in Healthcare Administration, Pharmacy Administration, or related field Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides innovative leadership to maximize the Pharmacy department's contribution to overall clinical performance.
  • Responsible for the management of all aspects of Clinical Pharmacy Services for TUH-Main Campus, TUH-Jeanes Campus, TUH-Episcopal Campus, FCCC and TUH, Inc. Infusion Centers (ACC, NECC, TUH-FCCC).
  • Budget preparation and maintenance for clinical services and educational requirements.
  • Ensures departmental and customer satisfaction.
  • Ongoing definition of health system clinical pharmacy metrics.
  • Monitors the financial impact of TUHS clinical pharmacy services.
  • Education of pharmacy staff, including departmental training and annual competencies in a health-system wide, standardized approach.
  • Responsible for pharmacy student education and professional development.
  • Provides oversight over the Temple University Health System PGY1 and PGY2 Pharmacy Residency Program.
  • Serves as Pharmacy lead and co-chair of Formulary Committee.
  • Works directly with Pharmacy EPIC Willow team on order set development, clinical protocols and decision support tools.
