About The Position

The Director of Clinical Operations provides expert, competent, and visible leadership to advocate for their area of responsibility, support shared decision-making, and allocate resources to support staff. This role assumes leadership responsibility for assigned clinical and administrative departments, focusing on the development of patient care programs, policies, and procedures. The Director collaborates with administration, management, medical staff, clinical leaders, and frontline employees in decision-making processes. A key responsibility is implementing an effective, ongoing program to measure, assess, and improve the quality of patient care. The Director is also accountable for budgeting and managing the division's supplies, equipment, and personnel, ensuring staff compliance with the corporate compliance program.

Requirements

  • Graduate (Masters) Degree required. If Graduate Degree is not in nursing, a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree is required.
  • Professional certification in nursing or executive leadership required.
  • 10 years of progressive nursing experience.
  • Minimum of five years of progressive management experience is required.
  • Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of Texas.

Nice To Haves

  • Doctorate degree preferred.
  • Professional certification in clinical specialty preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for budgeting and managing supplies, equipment and personnel of the division.
  • Ensure that division staff has enough information to comply with corporate compliance program.
  • Responsible for and possess the authority for ensuring the requirements of Quality Management System are implemented and maintained.
  • Inspire a shared vision for a preferred future, resulting from global analysis, in order to lead other people and the organization to this desired or preferred future.
  • Create and sustain cultures that support clinicians to do their best work.

  • Supervise other members of the healthcare team, including licensed and unlicensed staff, requiring direction, training, and planning.
