About The Position

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery in the College of Dentistry at the University of Illinois Chicago is seeking applications for a full-time Director of Clinical Operations. This position is responsible for oversight and management of the clinical operations of the Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Clinic. This includes the clinic’s administrative operations, clinic budget management, regulatory compliance, equipment and capital procurement, development of patient communications, outreach, staff management, scheduling and marketing. The Director will develop all appropriate guidelines, policies and procedures related to patient care, research, educational programs, clinical compliance while ensuring all clinical operations and program support the Department and the College of Dentistry’s mission.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred); preferably in an oral health profession or related field.
  • Minimum of five years experience in progressive clinical administrative responsibilities in an oral health or healthcare organization.
  • Knowledge and experience in an electronic health record or dental health electronic record required.
  • Experience in EPIC highly preferred.
  • An oral health professional degree and/or licensure in a dental related field preferred.
  • Demonstrated success leading clinical support teams in a fast-paced patient care environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time-management abilities.
