About The Position

The Director of Laboratory at Community Regional leads laboratory services at one of California’s largest Level 1 Trauma Centers and helps shape laboratory operations across the region’s largest healthcare system. The role provides strategic, operational, and financial leadership for Clinical Laboratory services, focusing on high-quality, cost-effective testing that supports the organization’s mission. In partnership with pathologists, physicians, and hospital leaders, the Director oversees laboratory operations, quality improvement programs, proficiency testing, regulatory compliance, and accreditation. The role also manages budgets, capital planning, reporting systems, and resources while leading and developing laboratory leaders and staff in a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in the sciences.
Progressively responsible managerial experience in healthcare.
