Director, Clinical Education
About The Position
Provides administrative leadership and direction for new and ongoing educational programs and training, for Nursing and other patient care staff. Directly manages activities and resources of the Nursing Education department and provides leadership, guidance and motivation to clinical educators. Provides ongoing assessment and evaluation of customer needs and satisfaction with education/ professional development programs and services and directs and implements quality improvement initiatives to enhance satisfaction. Supports Sutter Health's mission of delivering of high quality, cost-effective nursing care for patient populations served. Supervises or coordinates interdepartmental and intradepartmental staff education programs and in-services; develops and implements policies and procedures related to staff education and provides input for nursing and patient care services policies and procedures. Participates on Medical Staff committees and ad-hoc committees as requested and participates in quality improvement practices and initiatives. Memorial Hospital Los Banos (MHLB) opened its doors on Sept. 5, 1967. Today, MHLB is accredited by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and operates as a non-profit, general care medical center with 26 active physicians on staff. Our mission statement: Memorial Hospital Los Banos provides high-quality compassionate care and exercises prudent fiscal responsibility. This is a Limited Term position for 52 weeks and will split time between both hospitals to assist in the ANCC pathways of excellence designation.
Requirements
- BSN or MSN Preferred
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- BLS -Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider
- RN -Registered Nurse of California
- 12 years recent relevant experience.
- ANCC Accreditation experience.
