What Specialty Networks Solutions contributes to Cardinal Health: Specialty Networks creates clinical & economic value for independent specialty providers and partners in multiple therapeutic areas, across 9 specialty GPOs. The purpose of this organization at Cardinal Health is to help independent specialty providers improve patient outcomes by getting each patient to the right care at the right time. Specialty Networks works with over 20,000 specialty physician offices and clinic nationwide and over 300 manufacturing partners. Furthermore, this business unit leverages the strength of its multiple GPO data platforms, PPS Analytics, Specialty Networks Business Solutions and Specialty Networks Research to create value to its community member practices and solutions to our industry partners. Position Overview: This role will work with manufacturers to identify data capability opportunities for both internal and external uses. This role has both a revenue generation opportunity, as well as gathering significant data insights for future strategic contracting discussions with manufacturers that will ultimately benefit our community-based practices and patients. This role reports into the Sr Director, Specialty GPO Solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent work experience; Advanced degree highly preferred (MD, PhD, PharmD, RPh, etc.)
  • Experience across specialties: oncology, urology, gastroenterology & rheumatology
  • Healthcare informatics or healthcare data experience preferred; Experience with healthcare technology
  • Familiarity with EHR data and claim data
  • Manufacturer HEORS experience preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to identify customer data requirements, pull and analyze relevant datasets and synthesize findings into business insights
  • Effectively communicate results to customers, executive leaders and provide clear summaries, presentations and data- driven recommendations
  • Experience interacting with clinicians to provide data driven findings that improve patient outcomes
  • Strong analytical skill set
  • Strong executive presence, communication and presentation skills
  • Ability to travel 30-40% or as needed, including some weekends
  • Utilizes broad and deep knowledge to develop innovative new business practices, policies and procedures
  • Contributes to the development of department strategy
  • Works on or may lead highly complex projects of large scope

Responsibilities

  • Research, build, and present utilization data analysis from multiple sources in support of GPO contract negotiations and strategies.
  • Support manufacturer facing discussions on practice decision making criteria involving pricing, net cost recovery along with operational and clinical considerations.
  • Support QBRs on targeted strategic manufacturers.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers to determine performance and baseline data scope in support of clinically-based innovative contracting and data pilots.
  • Regularly discuss innovative contracting with manufacturer partners and lead discussions with members on what to expect and how to perform on clinically based or innovative contracts.
  • Support non-clinical member facing sales and consulting teams wherever needed to explain clinical based contracts.
  • Support data pulls and QA with members for all ongoing contracts that are data driven.
  • Evaluate data capabilities and data quality from member practices for participation in programs
  • Pull, analyze and present data to manufacturers and to member practices, or MSO Leadership.
  • Work with practice specialists to add formulary analysis to support carveouts.
  • Present the practices' data to each of them during a QBR, or separate meetings if the contracts are data driven.
  • Support GPO capabilities discussions leveraging industry experience and partner and vendor landscapes to help evaluate strategic alignment.
  • Regularly support capabilities and product launch discussions including current market conditions and contracting/pricing strategy.
  • Work with manufacturers to sponsor quality improvement projects in individual practices. (Improve biomarker testing rates and treatments, identify patients that qualify for certain treatments, identify improvement opportunities for guideline and pathway adherence, incorporate advanced therapies into their practices and identify patients).
  • Analyze drug market competitors by drug class and indications in oncology, urology, GI, Rheum and other multispecialty areas.
  • Teach team members pertinent clinical information with a focus on large drug classes or indications groups where there are many products.
  • Act as a GPO liaison to Clinical contacts at manufacturers and clinical teams within Cardinal Provider office steering committee for GPO technology
  • Support internal teams for sales of GPO specific data, programs and engagements
  • Support GPO operations with utilization data and equivalent dosing analysis.
  • Support GPO meetings in all therapeutic areas and contribute to discussions at external conferences and events.
