About The Position

Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) provides a full range of financial advisory and capital-raising services to corporate and institutional clients on transactions with a North American component. We work closely with our clients to understand their needs. Then we work as an integrated team to bring unique solutions to our clients, we excel at building long-term relationships and executing flawlessly. TD Securities is one of the most active North American dealers in Debt and Equity products. CIB Credit is our team of in-house credit assessment and deal execution professionals. Our team is involved in assisting with the origination of business and responsible for the structuring, analysis, risk assessment and ongoing monitoring of borrowers in various sectors. This role is for CIB-Credit focusing on the Power & Renewables industry.

Requirements

  • Minimum 9-10 years related experience
  • Undergraduate degree in Business (Accounting or Finance) or Mathematics/Economics.
  • Series 79, 63, SIE
  • Well organized with leadership qualities

Responsibilities

  • Senior member of deal teams that prepare detailed high quality credit submissions for transactions related to new and existing clients, which will detail risks and mitigants and include a review of financial performance and key metrics.
  • Manages workflow of deal teams and trains juniors.
  • Ensures credit reviews include all appropriate analysis, including risk rating assessment, leveraged lending analysis if applicable, as well as detailed projections and sensitivities for lower rated borrowers.
  • Conducts market, industry and client research in support of the ongoing risk assessment process.
  • Reviews loan and security documentation, to reflect the details of the credit authorization accurately.
  • Oversees and monitors performance of Borrowers to ensure compliance prepares High Risk Reports as required.
  • Work closely with Investment Banking, and other product groups, including Sponsors, Leveraged Finance, and Capital Markets, as necessary, to provide a holistic view of the transaction.
  • Demonstrates governance, control and risk management behaviors in alignment with TD policies and practices.
  • Participates on project working groups and/or internal and external committees, such as industry reviews or internal risk policies.
  • Identify/recognize cross-sell opportunities and coordinate with other business units/product groups as appropriate.
