About The Position

St. Luke’s Health – Memorial Lufkin is a 279-bed facility and a member of CommonSpirit Health, a national nonprofit health system serving East Texas. The facility provides over a quarter of a million patient services annually and contributes millions of dollars in local charity care and community support. It is the area’s first Joint Commission Certified Primary Stroke Center, offering full-spectrum stroke care with board-certified neurologists and neurosurgeons. Recognized as a HealthCare Center of Excellence, St. Luke’s Health-Memorial Lufkin provides compassionate, comprehensive health care, including off-campus rehab and outpatient facilities and services. The facility features a large emergency department, 32 private rooms, and dedicated imaging, OBGYN, wound care, infusion, and lab services.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Five (5) years leadership experience, upon hire
  • Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer, upon hire or Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire or Medical Radiographer: TX, upon hire or Registered Vascular Technologist, upon hire or Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support, within 6 - months

Responsibilities

  • Lead daily operations, ensuring high-quality, safe, and efficient cardiac care.
  • Manage staff and uphold clinical standards.
  • Optimize scheduling, resources, and workflow.
  • Develop staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Coordinate patient flow.
  • Consult in patient care situations requiring advanced competency & knowledge.
  • Serve as a clinical resource for problem-solving.
  • Assist staff with patient-related issues and emergency situations.
  • Act as a liaison and collaborate with other departments, physicians, and patient care services to facilitate care progression and ensure quality nursing care.
  • Serve as a role model to develop staff competence in the delivery of nursing care based on national professional standards.
  • Recognize noncompliance and demonstrate correct application of hospital policy and procedures.
  • Responsible for cost-effective operations and initiatives.
  • Facilitate unit-based performance enhancement program/projects.
