About The Position

The Director, Business Tax is a senior leader within The Friedkin Group’s Tax organization, responsible for setting and executing the business tax strategy across the company’s large operating businesses and pass-through entities. This role owns end-to-end tax planning, compliance, and advisory for S corporations and operating partnerships with complex, multi-state footprints, where complexity is driven by scale, transactions, and strategic activity rather than volume alone. Serving as the primary business tax authority and advisor to senior business leaders and shareholders, you will influence decisions across operations, Finance, and the Family Office. You will partner closely with Tax leadership to shape the direction of the business tax function, ensuring it evolves alongside the organization’s growth and investment activity. As part of a collaborative family office environment, you will drive a globally informed, shareholder-focused approach to tax planning, structuring, and reporting—balancing technical rigor with practical, business-minded solutions. This role provides leadership over people, process, and strategy, with accountability for optimizing tax outcomes while maintaining compliance and governance excellence.
