About The Position

As a Tax Director, you will lead and shape the global tax strategy, ensuring compliance, efficiency, and alignment with business objectives. You will oversee U.S. and international tax planning, reporting, and audits while advising leadership on complex tax matters and cross-border strategies. This role involves managing both internal teams and external advisors to optimize tax positions, support transactions, and mitigate risk. You will play a key part in developing scalable processes and policies, interpreting regulations, and providing actionable insights that impact financial results. This position offers an opportunity to operate in a fast-paced, multinational environment, making a significant impact on the organization’s strategic and financial initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 12 years of public accounting or industry tax experience, including multinational/global tax operations
  • Strong expertise in U.S. and international tax planning, compliance, and audit processes
  • Ability to identify emerging tax issues and assess business impact
  • Experience with cross-border strategies, transfer pricing, and global tax provision preparation
  • CPA designation and/or advanced degree in taxation preferred; bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills with ability to convey complex concepts to diverse audiences
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, complex environments, including start-up or private equity experience
  • Modest travel may be required

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate a global team of U.S. and foreign tax advisors, service providers, and auditors to ensure compliance, reporting accuracy, and tax-efficient operations
  • Provide technical guidance on U.S. and international tax matters, including research, analysis, and interpretation of tax statutes and regulations
  • Oversee tax compliance, audits, and controversies while reviewing income and non-income tax returns and filings
  • Develop and manage the global tax calendar, tax provision processes, and financial statement disclosures
  • Advise on cross-border strategies, transfer pricing, mergers and acquisitions, and cash movement from a tax perspective
  • Establish and optimize scalable tax processes, automated solutions, and workflow routines
  • Communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax stakeholders and support business decisions with actionable recommendations
