SUMMARY: This role is accountable for the full capture cycle in the EW and Radar marketspace, including team management and developing strategy. This role will directly manage key accounts.   • Excellent time management skills.
  • BS in Engineering or related.
  • Minimum of 10 years of direct work within the EW and Radar marketspace.
  • Minimum of 5 years in strategic business development with a track record of successful captures within the EW and Radar market.
  • Minimum 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Must provide proof of US Citizenship or Permanent Residency to comply with ITAR/EAR requirements.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen per Vitesse Systems’ drug testing policy.
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check per Vitesse Systems’ policy.
  • LANGUAGE SKILLS: Ability to speak and understand basic safety and manufacturing instructions.
  • MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Ability to add and subtract up to four place decimals. Ability to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
  • REASONING ABILITY: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: Authorization to work in the United States. To conform to U.S. export control regulations, you should be eligible for any required authorizations from the U.S. Government.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a high performing sales and business development team.
  • Work with program management in our existing customers to broaden our opportunity pipeline.
  • Penetrate fully new EW and Radar customers who can contribute to our ambitious growth goals.
  • Craft strong relationships with complex customer project teams and various management levels.
  • Forge new relationships with the cross functional organizations at potential customers.
  • Display intimate knowledge of customers, market, and competitive landscape.
  • Directly engage with customers to win incremental business through active business development, including establishment of strong relationships within Sr. management levels.
  • Work closely with customer’s project teams to ensure all requirements, specifications, and information are collected and clearly communicated internally.
  • Coordinate with internal program, engineering, and operations management to participate in a technical review for new programs.
  • Manage the preparation of formal quotation packages to maximize profitable revenue growth.
  • Engage with customers on all commercial topics including credit and shipping terms, legal requirements, payments, etc.
  • Respond when necessary to special customer needs or complaints.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM daily to frequently and transparently communicate all opportunities, wins, and losses to colleagues and management.
