About The Position

The Director of Business Development is a key strategic role responsible for driving new revenue growth across North America. Reporting directly to the Chief Commercial Officer, this leader will build and maintain high-impact relationships with both existing and prospective customers to identify new opportunities and implement growth strategies. This position plays a critical role in supporting Arterex’s growth plans by presenting our end-to-end solutions to potential customers.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field from an accredited institution.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in business development within medical device contract manufacturing, with a strong focus on Class II and III single-use and electromechanical devices.
  • Deep understanding of the medical device manufacturing ecosystem, including selling contract design services, complex single-use devices and electromechanical assemblies.
  • Proven success selling to large medical device OEMs and/or pharmaceutical companies.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute market strategies that align with Arterex’s capabilities and emerging trends. Identify new business opportunities, communicate them across the organization, and lead seamless implementation to deliver measurable results.
  • Utilize a solution-based sales approach to expand business in existing and new accounts. Work collaboratively across value streams and cross-functional teams to execute Customer and Category Opportunity Plans.
  • Set, manage, and exceed sales and project goals in line with strategic growth plans. Deliver against NRE targets, product expansion objectives, and position Arterex as a preferred partner in the Class II and III medical device space.
  • Act as a key partner in launch readiness and post-launch success by aligning closely with Product Development, Engineering, Project Management, Sales, and Marketing teams to ensure flawless execution and customer satisfaction.
  • Strengthen Arterex’s reputation by fostering relationships with key stakeholders, industry groups, and OEMs. Cultivate trust, confidence, and preference for Arterex as a top-tier contract manufacturer.
  • Participate actively in strategic planning and organizational growth as a member of the broader leadership team. Collaborate closely with the CCO, GMs, and Business Unit Leaders to shape and implement long-term commercial strategies.
  • Maintain a strong focus on measurable outcomes. Provide accurate forecasts, competitive intelligence, and performance updates to senior leadership.
