About The Position

Drives strategic initiatives for assigned region; develops medium and long-term growth plans and profitability goals; analyzes and recommends emerging industry trends and expansion opportunities, including but not limited to, competitive threats, viability of outside business partners, internal business performance and business process improvement. Oversees operational relationships for strategic to achieve revenue goals, providing technical expertise and oversight to the business development efforts across the region. Deliver and present comprehensive business reviews and recommendations to leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Six (6) years of progressive business development or trade marketing experience.
  • Five (5) years of consumer packaged goods experience.
  • Three (3) years of management experience with demonstrated ability to lead multicultural teams.
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish, including reading, writing, and speaking.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, Access, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to identify complex problems, evaluate options, and recommend effective solutions.
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization and present complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Ability to build professional relationships with Hispanic Brands national accounts and cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to influence and motivate collaborators to achieve sales goals.
  • Strong project management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and deploy expansion opportunity of current sales offices to reach new territories; implement territory expansion plans.
  • Negotiate entrance into new strategic accounts; support introduction and development of Hispanic brands in mainstream accounts in collaboration with sales leadership.
  • Identify, evaluate, and communicate product-market fits, product differentiation, and brand value to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Define and approve sustainable growth objectives for strategic accounts and distributors.
  • Design, create and monitor promotional activity budget for regional managers and key accounts; analyze pricing and promotional budgets; recommend allocation to meet regional goals in collaboration with sales managers; deploy promotional plans.
  • Manage and supervise staff, including but not limited to, hiring, training, evaluation, development, coaching personnel, and disciplinary actions.
  • Evaluate and develop sales best practices and operational efficiencies in collaboration with regional counterpart and DVP; implement best practices in assigned region.
  • Oversee KPIs for sales offices; analyze root cause for variances to KPIs, collaborate with DVP to implement corrective action.
  • Create and lead the regional sales strategy cohesively focused on shopper segments, distribution channel dynamics, and new business development.
  • Create, monitor, track and provide insight on sales goals, profitability goals, and territory expansion goals; manage sales compensation program in collaboration with finance; assess competitive landscape and institute sales program changes.
  • Develop and customize Hispanic Brands KPI analysis tools; manage pricing and profit tools to achieve organizational objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison and lead projects between Category Management, IT, Marketing, Supply Chain and Sales.
