About The Position

Airlock Digital is seeking a strategic, creative, and highly collaborative Director of Brand, Campaigns & Communications to shape how the company and its product stories are brought to market. This role sits at the intersection of Product Marketing and Demand Generation, translating company strategy, product positioning, and market insights into compelling marketing themes and integrated campaign pillars. The Director will lead the development of creative, full-funnel campaigns across the buyer journey. In partnership with Demand Generation, they will document campaign strategies, define content and creative assets, and manage execution. They will also lead Airlock Digital’s corporate communications strategy, including public relations and internal communications, working closely with Product Management, Product Marketing, and company leadership to build awareness and strengthen the company's authority in the Endpoint Security space. Initially, this will be a hands-on, individual-contributor leadership role with the opportunity to build and lead a team as the company grows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of marketing or communications experience within B2B technology, including significant experience in a SaaS environment.
  • 5+ years of people leadership.
  • Experience in a senior brand, integrated marketing, campaign, or corporate communications role.
  • Demonstrated ability to translate company strategy and product positioning into compelling marketing themes, creative platforms, and integrated campaigns.
  • Experience planning and executing full-funnel B2B campaigns across awareness, consideration, evaluation, and conversion stages.
  • Strong public relations experience, including direct responsibility for managing agencies across multiple global regions.
  • Experience developing corporate communications, executive communications, thought leadership, and internal communications programs.
  • Exceptional writing, editing, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong creative judgment and the ability to provide clear, constructive direction to writers, designers, and agencies.
  • Proven ability to lead complex, cross-functional initiatives involving Marketing, Product, Sales, and executive stakeholders.
  • Excellent project-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, contributors, and approval processes.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience establishing meaningful measures for brand awareness, communications, and campaign effectiveness.
  • Experience managing agency relationships, budgets, scopes of work, and performance.
  • Comfortable operating as a hands-on individual contributor while building the foundation for a future team.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and energized by working in a fast-growing environment where processes and capabilities continue to evolve.

Responsibilities

  • Develop Brand and Campaign Pillars: Translate company priorities, positioning, customer insights, and market trends into clear, differentiated marketing themes and campaign pillars. Build campaign narratives that connect customer challenges to Airlock Digital’s value proposition. Establish the creative direction, key messages, proof points, and calls to action for integrated campaigns. Ensure campaign concepts support both new-logo acquisition and growth within Airlock Digital’s existing customer base. Maintain consistency across campaigns while adapting messaging and creative for different audiences, markets, regions, and buying stages.
  • Lead Integrated Campaign Planning: Partner with Demand Generation and Channel Marketing to develop integrated campaign plans, complete with tactics, to achieve marketing and pipeline objectives. Define the audiences, objectives, buyer journeys, content requirements, creative approach, activation plan, timeline, owners, and success measures for each campaign. Map the assets and experiences needed across the full funnel, including top-of-funnel awareness, middle-of-funnel consideration, and bottom-of-funnel evaluation and conversion. Document campaign briefs and plans so that internal teams and external partners are aligned on the strategy, intended outcomes, and timelines.
  • Oversee Creative Development and Execution: Lead campaigns from initial concept through development, launch, optimization, and post-campaign analysis. Translate campaign strategies into clear, actionable briefs for writers, designers, agencies, and other creative partners. Project-manage campaign execution across Product Marketing, Demand Generation, Channel Marketing, Sales and external agencies. Manage timelines, dependencies, reviews, approvals, and deliverables to ensure campaigns launch on schedule and meet quality standards. Manage creative agency relationships and evaluate the future opportunity to bring writing and design capabilities in-house. Establish repeatable processes that allow Airlock Digital to develop high-quality campaigns efficiently and at scale.
  • Lead Corporate Communications and Public Relations: Develop and execute a global corporate communications strategy that builds awareness, authority, and credibility for Airlock Digital. Translate company objectives, product developments, customer outcomes, and market perspectives into relevant external communications opportunities. Own the corporate news calendar and oversee press releases, media materials, contributed content, executive commentary, and other corporate communications. Identify opportunities for executive thought leadership, media engagement, speaking opportunities, awards, and industry recognition. Lead and manage global public relations agencies, setting clear priorities, expectations, deliverables, and performance measures. Partner with leadership on sensitive, high-visibility, or time-critical communications when required. Ensure external communications are accurate, credible, differentiated, and consistent with Airlock Digital’s brand and positioning.
  • Own Internal Communications: Develop an internal communications strategy that keeps employees informed, connected, and aligned with company priorities. Partner closely with leadership to translate company goals, decisions, progress, and organizational changes into clear and engaging employee communications. Partner closely with HR and execute strategies that build awareness and candidate pipeline for open positions. Establish an effective cadence and channel strategy for company updates, leadership communications, internal announcements, and other employee-facing content. Help leaders communicate complex or sensitive information with clarity, consistency, and empathy. Ensure internal and external narratives remain aligned while tailoring communications appropriately for each audience.
  • Measure Awareness and Campaign Impact: Establish clear objectives, benchmarks, and measurement frameworks for campaigns, public relations, brand awareness, and internal communications. Partner with Demand Generation and Marketing Operations to evaluate campaign engagement, asset performance, account reach, conversion, pipeline influence, and other business outcomes. Measure communications performance through indicators such as quality media coverage, share of voice, message penetration, audience reach, executive visibility, referral traffic, engagement, and brand search activity. Regularly communicate results, insights, and recommendations to Marketing and company leadership. Use performance data and audience feedback to refine campaign themes, creative, content, communications strategies, and agency investment.
  • Build the Function: Serve as a hands-on leader who can move confidently between strategy, writing, creative direction, stakeholder management, and execution. Establish the processes, templates, editorial standards, campaign frameworks, and governance needed to scale the function. Manage budgets and external resources across creative development, public relations, and communications. Assess future organizational needs and build a business case for adding internal writing, design, or communications talent. Over time, recruit, coach, and develop a high-performing brand, creative, and communications team. Stay current on emerging campaign, communications, brand, and AI practices that can improve creativity, efficiency, personalization, and measurable impact.
