Bristol Myers Squibb is seeking a Director of Biostatistics within the Hematology therapeutic area. This role is a key member of cross-functional teams, contributing to the development of compounds. The Director will drive the design of innovative and efficient clinical trials, including the selection of study populations and endpoints, to support regulatory approval and market access. Responsibilities include contributing to Clinical Development Plans, leading submission activities, and developing post-submission strategies. The role involves providing guidance and management to statisticians, ensuring high-quality and timely deliverables, managing resources, setting priorities, and ensuring adherence to standards. The Director will also act as a scientific and strategic partner in the drug development process, presenting and defending complex statistical solutions to governance, stakeholders, and regulatory bodies. Additionally, the role involves providing statistical support for health authority requests, publications, and public releases of information, ensuring compliance with BMS processes and SOPs. The Director will contribute to departmental SOPs, provide training on statistical topics, manage functional or project budgets, and represent BMS at professional societies and industry discussions. For people managers, this role includes active coaching, employee advocacy, management coaching/mentoring, empowering and developing the team, guiding development plans, conducting performance reviews, and developing performance metrics.
