The Director, Neurodegeneration, Strategy & Commercial Development will work under the direction of the Executive Director, Neurodegeneration to lead efforts supporting Alzheimer's Disease strategy, pipeline, and market development. This position will help guide strategic assessments and be responsible for integrating strategic recommendations across the Alzheimer's franchise to maximize opportunities and value. Strategy responsibilities include helping to define the scope of Alzheimer's opportunities based on the future evolution of unmet need, treatment landscape and competitive pipeline, pricing and access dynamics, and the underlying science. Deliverables include Target Opportunity Profiles, Patient Journeys, and Customer Segmentation strategies for Alzheimer's Disease. This position is also responsible for supporting the development and execution of strategies for Alzheimer's pipeline assets, under the direction of the Executive Director. (S)he will help optimize the value of key Alzheimer's products, identifying areas for growth and seeking opportunities within and beyond the organization to add value to long-term plans. This position will support representation of Alzheimer's products on the Global Program Team. In addition, this position is responsible for supporting Market Development activities for Alzheimer's Disease – engaging with cross-functional matrix partners and local markets to help develop and deliver the brand strategy that establishes strategic platforms for optimizing Alzheimer's assets, and to prepare markets for launch. This includes helping to inform scientific branding and brand development and working with Medical colleagues to build relationships with key external stakeholders, patient advocacy organizations, medical societies, and thought leaders in Alzheimer's Disease. This role will engage with the Neurology community to support continued investment in the Alzheimer's strategy to help drive disease recognition and diagnosis including biomarker evolution. The successful candidate will partner with Medical, MAx, R&D, Advocacy, and selected country leads, under the guidance of the Executive Director, to ensure the Alzheimer's market development strategy is aligned, developed through market insights, and actionable across geographies. The Director will have a passion for understanding the science underlying Alzheimer's Disease and drug development and commercialization. This requires the ability to establish strong partnerships with R&D, Medical, Business Insights & Analytics (BI&A), Business Development, Market Access, Pricing and Reimbursement (MAx), and other commercial colleagues, in support of the overall neurodegeneration strategy. The person must be able to operate in a fast-paced organization, with high expectations and accountability on quality of deliverables and the ability to contribute to an energizing, inclusive culture. Demonstrated ability to lead and influence without direct authority across functions, including Clinical, Regulatory, MAx, Medical, BI&A, and other key cross-functional Commercial partners, is required. Domestic and International travel required (~20%).
