About The Position

As a Director, AWS AI Application Engineering, you will lead the design, development, testing, and modernization of AWS-native applications supporting client needs throughout the software delivery lifecycle. Within PwC’s Advisory practice, you will set strategic direction, guide business development, and shape executive-level client relationships, drawing on expertise in application and solution architecture, cloud engineering, data, and analytics. You will oversee multiple workstreams, guide architecture decisions and delivery planning, and apply AI-enabled engineering approaches to greenfield builds and legacy modernization across AWS environments. The role involves translating vision into delivery, cultivating future leaders, and making strategic choices that connect technology, business goals, and long-term growth. You will also drive change and new ideas while promoting quality, integrity, and inclusion across client engagements. Travel requirements are up to 80%. The salary range is $155,000–$410,000, with actual compensation dependent on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and applicable employment laws. Hired individuals are eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

Requirements

At least a bachelor's degree.
At least 9 years of experience.

Responsibilities

Lead AWS-native application engineering initiatives across design, build, test, and modernization activities for client solutions.
Set technical direction for cloud-based application architecture, development patterns, and AI-enabled engineering approaches.
Translate business needs into scalable application designs using AWS services, cloud infrastructure, and architecture frameworks.
Oversee multiple workstreams across the software development lifecycle, from requirements definition through deployment and validation.
Develop solution strategies combining platform engineering, integration design, and cloud virtualization for complex environments.
Guide teams in applying AI fluency, digital tooling, and rapid experimentation to accelerate delivery and improve application outcomes.
Build executive-level client relationships and shape technology roadmaps aligned with transformation goals.
Review application performance, security, and reliability considerations across cloud and network environments.
Develop business opportunities within AWS-native development and testing engagements and expand client demand for modern application services.
Mentor delivery teams and advance consistent application architecture practices across engagements.
