About The Position
The Director of Asset Management oversees the strategic direction and financial performance of Hut 8's energy infrastructure and data center portfolio. This senior leadership position focuses on maximizing the value of physical assets through capital allocation, operational and contractual optimization, and long-term investment strategy. The role involves managing the entire asset lifecycle, from commercialization to overseeing major reinvestment projects. A key responsibility is managing complex commercial obligations, specifically Utility Agreements, Power Purchase Agreements, and Real Estate Contracts, to ensure optimal economic outcomes. This position serves as the primary bridge between technical operations, contractual partners, and corporate finance, translating infrastructure performance into clear financial results for the executive team.
Requirements
- 10+ years of professional experience, specifically within energy infrastructure, utilities, or power generation.
- Expert-level skills in financial modeling, underwriting, and managing capital deployment for large-scale assets.
- Significant experience negotiating and managing power purchase agreements, interconnection agreements, energy-related regulatory compliance, and real estate contracts.
- A history of leading multi-site portfolios, with a focus on optimizing cost structures and enhancing revenue.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and present strategic recommendations to C-suite stakeholders and board members.
