About The Position

The Solution Architect will take a hands-on role in driving technical architecture and owning end-to-end solution architecture within Fidelity Institutional Technology for the Fidelity Institutional Wealth Advisory space. The role partners with business and product sponsors, technology teams, and peer architects to advance digital modernization and accelerate squad delivery through reliable, scalable solutions that deliver business value. Fidelity Institutional Technology Architecture provides strategic technology direction and architecture vision for Fidelity's Institutional businesses. The FIT Architecture group is a central architecture practice that leads IT strategy and architecture transformation, provides IT oversight and governance, and promotes collaboration and open communication to support decision-making.

Requirements

10 or more years of industry experience in architecture, analytics, design, and development of enterprise solutions across multiple technology platforms, frameworks, and languages.
Demonstrated and extensive knowledge of APIs, user interfaces, infrastructure, data architecture, security, and new technologies.
Software development experience with client-side technologies such as Angular or React and JavaScript or TypeScript.
Strong experience with Java, Java EE/Jakarta EE, Spring Framework/Spring Boot, and web application technologies.
Ability to work independently and with technical and non-technical people at all levels of the organization.
Strong critical-thinking skills and ability to translate business needs into technology solutions.
Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, including the ability to influence.
Experience with cloud technologies and practices, building and deploying applications using AWS or Azure or both.

Cloud certification.
Familiarity with AI/ML technologies and data platforms, with the ability to assess and integrate emerging capabilities.

Responsibilities

Drive and own end-to-end solution architecture, prepare design artifacts, and articulate designs to product owners, technology teams, and architecture leadership.
Provide technical leadership and implement solutions for technology teams.
Engage with multiple squads to deliver architecture artifacts, resolve issues, develop wellness plans, and support product roadmaps.
Analyze business direction and long-term vision, and evaluate the risks and benefits of strategic technical solutions.
Collaborate with product owners and technology teams on technology evaluation, selection, recommendation, and configuration.
Build and maintain effective relationships with senior leaders, product owners, architects, and technical leads.
Partner with peer architects to identify opportunities to refactor business processes, improve customer experience, or rationalize capabilities.
Assess and integrate emerging AI/ML capabilities and data platforms.
Manage third-party vendor solutions and ensure integrations are secure, compliant, and high-performing.
Build and deploy applications using AWS, Azure, or both.
