About The Position

At Spectrum Science, the Director, Analytics will support analytics strategy and insight development across communications and advertising engagements. This role involves working closely with account teams, media partners, senior leadership, clients, and vendors to design measurement frameworks, synthesize performance across activities, and translate data into clear, actionable insights that inform decision-making. You will have a hands-on role in reporting, optimization, and developing analytics recommendations for a portfolio of clients. Additionally, you will act as the primary point of leadership for junior team members assigned to your projects, ensuring strong execution and consistency across project deliverables. The ability to communicate clearly, navigate complex project dynamics, and connect analytics to broader business and brand objectives is essential.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Data Management, Statistics, Mathematics, or related major.
  • At least 5-6 years of agency and/or marketing experience in communication and advertising is a must.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Strong working knowledge of digital media advertising, including social media, search, display, video, and other paid media tactics.
  • Creative thinker who is willing to think outside of the box and consistently look for opportunities to improve current capabilities and processes.
  • Advanced knowledge of analytics tools including Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Tableau, or other analytics/data visualization tools.
  • Working knowledge of social media advertising platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, Snapchat, Reddit, and TikTok, including targeting capabilities with the ability to analyze and interpret performance across channels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience managing a team and/or workflow.

Nice To Haves

  • Healthcare experience is a plus.
  • Experience with advertising outside of the US is preferred.
  • Experience with influencer marketing is a plus.
  • Data science, statistical analysis, research, or programming experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate deep expertise in communications/PR/advertising analytics and measurement, using data to derive insights and inform strategic recommendations across advertising and communications initiatives.
  • Support the development of measurement frameworks in tandem with internal and external stakeholders aligned to client objectives, ensuring analytics approaches are appropriate for campaign complexity and business goals.
  • Facilitate the creation of integrated performance reporting that synthesizes results across channels and tactics, highlighting trends, opportunities, and areas for optimization.
  • Work as part of an integrated team, partnering with account, strategy, media teams and vendors to inform optimization and investment decisions, grounding recommendations in data while maintaining clear analytical objectivity.
  • Provide day-to-day guidance to internal teams and clients of varying seniority, translating complex analytics into compelling, decision‑ready narratives.
  • Oversee Analytics team members’ project delivery, prioritization, and quality, ensuring deliverables are timely, accurate, and insight driven.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally to ensure analytics is embedded throughout planning, activation, and reporting, rather than operating as a standalone function.
  • Develop strategies, budgets, and tactical recommendations for paid digital media campaigns in communications and advertising.
  • Clearly articulate research and analytics needs to team members and partners, aligning scope, timelines, and outputs to project objectives.
  • Make real-time recommendations for optimizations to ensure campaigns are delivering against pre-determined KPIs.
  • Participate in presentations, workshops, and strategic discussions with internal and external stakeholders.
