About The Position

The Director, Americas Business Technology is the senior business-facing technology leader for the Americas region. As the primary technology partner to the Americas President's leadership team, this role aligns technology investments, operational support, and modernization priorities with business objectives. The position owns the Americas business-technology relationship and technology portfolio, translating business priorities into demand, roadmaps, investment decisions, and measurable business outcomes.

This leader drives stakeholder engagement, portfolio governance, service delivery oversight, modernization planning, and value realization while partnering closely with the Director IT, ERP & Manufacturing Systems Transformation on major ERP, MES, and WMS initiatives.

The Director leads the Americas Business Technology organization, with direct responsibility for IT leaders and their teams. The role develops organizational capability, establishes accountability, and enables an integrated operating model across regional teams, enterprise IT functions, and strategic technology partners.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Operations, or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive leadership experience.
• Experience supporting manufacturing, supply chain, distribution, or operational environments.
• Strong business and financial acumen.
• Proven success building executive-level business partnerships.
• Experience in technology strategy, portfolio management, governance, and value realization.
• Experience leading managers and developing high-performing teams.
• Proven ability to build organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and team leadership.
• Experience influencing decisions and driving alignment across business stakeholders, enterprise IT functions, and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technology partner to the Americas leadership team.
• Build trusted relationships with regional, functional, and operational leaders.
• Identify opportunities where technology, automation, and AI can improve business performance and operational effectiveness.
• Ensure business priorities are jointly understood, appropriately challenged, and translated into clear accountabilities across business and technology stakeholders.
• Translate business priorities into technology investments, roadmaps, and execution plans.
• Drive shared accountability for business outcomes, adoption, and value realization.
• Partner across enterprise IT teams and strategic technology providers to deliver integrated business outcomes.
• Translate regional priorities into clear requirements, roadmaps, and delivery commitments.
• Establish governance, decision-making, and accountability across regional IT, enterprise IT, and partners.
• Represent Americas priorities in enterprise technology, architecture, investment, and service discussions.
• Resolve cross-functional dependencies and partner-related challenges to ensure successful delivery.
• Own the Americas technology portfolio and demand governance process.
• Prioritize investments based on business value, strategic alignment, and resource capacity.
• Develop and maintain an integrated technology roadmap.
• Lead portfolio reviews, governance forums, and investment decisions.
• Ensure initiatives have clear ownership, value measures, and success criteria.
• Provide executive oversight for IT service delivery across Americas operations.
• Ensure reliable support for manufacturing, distribution, and business-critical environments.
• Maintain visibility into service performance, operational risks, and technology health.
• Partner with IT Operations and service owners to drive accountability, escalation management, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure operational priorities and risks are appropriately represented in portfolio and investment decisions.
• Lead the Americas technology modernization, automation, and AI enablement strategy and roadmap.
• Identify legacy-system risks and modernization opportunities.
• Prioritize modernization investments based on alignment with strategic objectives, business value, risk, and complexity.
• Support enterprise transformation through business readiness and stakeholder engagement.
• Partner closely with the Director IT, ERP & Manufacturing Systems Transformation.
• Represent Americas business priorities within ERP, MES, and WMS programs.
• Support alignment, adoption, readiness, and value realization across transformation programs.
• Lead, coach, and develop IT leaders and their respective organizations across the Americas region.
• Establish accountability, priorities, and performance expectations aligned with business objectives.
• Build the capabilities required to support evolving business and technology priorities.
• Develop organizational capability through talent development, succession planning, and workforce planning.
• Foster strong partnerships across the business, enterprise IT teams, and strategic partners.
• Build a high-performing culture focused on operational excellence, customer service, and business value delivery.
• Advise on technology investment priorities, business cases, and portfolio tradeoffs to support strategic decision-making.
