About The Position

This role is for a Director of AI Transformation who is a builder and a doer, refusing to separate strategy from execution. The individual will lead AI transformation engagements end-to-end, from diagnosing issues and identifying possibilities to actively building solutions alongside the client's team. This involves designing AI-enabled workflows, making product decisions, and shipping prototypes. The role requires someone frustrated by the gap between advice and execution, who wants to own the entire process from strategy to build to proof. The company, Human Agency, is scaling rapidly and partners with organizations to explore, design, and implement AI strategies that are secure, scalable, and human-centered, believing AI should amplify human potential. They operate with a flat team structure where the best ideas win, and client outcomes are paramount.

Requirements

• 5–8+ years of experience in management consulting, venture-backed startups, product strategy, or a combination.
• Direct ownership over outcomes, not just deliverables.
• Demonstrated track record of taking AI from concept to working reality in an organizational context (building or deploying something that worked).
• Fluency with the AI tooling landscape (foundation models, workflow automation, prompt engineering) and judgment on build vs. buy decisions.
• Proven ability to lead client relationships at the senior level, manage ambiguity, and keep complex engagements on track without a safety net.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of executive brief writing, facilitating sessions with skeptical stakeholders, and explaining technical decisions to non-technical audiences.
• Experience in 0-to-1 product building (shipping something from nothing to real).
• Must attach proof of something built with AI (a product, workflow, tool, or result).

Nice To Haves

• Background in venture studios, high-growth AI or tech companies, or operator roles at the intersection of strategy and product.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI transformation projects from discovery through delivery, serving as the primary client relationship owner and accountable for outcomes.
• Develop transformation roadmaps grounded in client constraints and ensure their implementation.
• Identify high-value AI use cases, prototype solutions, and shepherd them from concept to usable products, often building hands-on with the client's team.
• Translate complex AI concepts, technical constraints, and strategic tradeoffs into clear communication for executives and frontline operators.
• Contribute to business development, scope new engagements, and deepen relationships with existing clients.
• Apply AI tools aggressively in personal and client workflows to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Contribute to shaping how Human Agency delivers services, learns, and grows as a senior member of the team.
