About The Position

The Director, AI Products will be responsible for supporting the implementation, delivery, and scaling of strategic AI initiatives within J&J Innovative Medicine. Reporting to the Vice President, Global Data Platforms and AI Products, within the Global Commercial Data and AI department, this individual will partner closely with business leaders and product teams leading AI Next Frontiers initiatives to translate prioritized AI opportunities into scalable solutions that improve business outcomes. The Director will work across multiple strategic initiatives to ensure that AI capabilities are effectively designed, developed, and deployed. The role requires strong AI technical skills; the ability to connect business needs with data, analytics, and AI capabilities; and, partnership and execution excellence.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required, advanced quantitative degree strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of experience in analytics, AI, digital transformation, consulting, commercial operations, product management, or related fields.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects in complex matrix organizations.
  • Demonstrated success implementing data, analytics, or AI solutions that achieved measurable business outcomes.
  • Experience working directly with business stakeholders to define requirements and support technology adoption.
  • Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and emerging agentic AI architectures.
  • Design and deployment of AI-enabled business solutions, including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), enterprise knowledge retrieval, content generation, conversational AI, and workflow automation capabilities.
  • Predictive analytics, machine learning, and advanced analytical techniques applied to business decision-making.
  • Data platforms, cloud-based analytics environments, and AI-enabled data products.
  • Modern data architecture concepts, including data products, semantic layers, metadata management, knowledge graphs, and scalable enterprise data foundations.
  • Structured, unstructured, and multimodal data management required to support AI applications.
  • Ability to effectively translate between business leaders, product managers, data scientists, and technology organizations to accelerate delivery and adoption of scalable AI solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or life sciences industry.
  • Experience working with commercial functions such as commercial excellence, customer or omnichannel engagement, insights and analytics, or commercial operations.
  • Demonstrated success supporting implementation of Generative AI, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics solutions.
  • Experience with enterprise AI and analytics platforms including Microsoft Copilot, Snowflake, Databricks, Dataiku, or similar technology ecosystems is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leading the implementation and enablement activities for a portfolio of prioritized AI initiatives.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to understand requirements, define use cases, and support solution design and deployment.
  • Ensure AI solutions are aligned with business objectives and user needs.
  • Translate business questions and needs into data, analytics, and AI design requirements that will scale across teams and geographies.
  • Support prioritization of enhancements and future capability roadmap and development.
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions through technical and business-centered leadership.
  • Develop communication, training, and engagement plans that promote successful implementation.
  • Partner with business leaders to integrate AI capabilities into existing workflows and decision-making processes.
  • Monitor user adoption and identify opportunities to improve utilization and effectiveness.
  • Partner closely across the Global Commercial Data and AI organization, with business teams throughout GCSO, and with functional partners in JJT, Healthcare Compliance, and Commercial teams.
  • Promote awareness and understanding of AI capabilities across business stakeholders.
  • Support AI fluency initiatives and educational efforts.
