About The Position

The Director of AI Initiatives is a strategic leader within Cencora’s Health Systems and Government Services (HGS) Business Unit. The role identifies, prioritizes, and drives artificial intelligence development opportunities across HGS to help the business remain competitive, innovative, and operationally excellent in an increasingly AI-driven industry.

The Director develops, implements, improves, and maintains policies, processes, workflows, and escalation protocols to support consistent, high-quality execution. Working with cross-functional departments and associates, the Director identifies AI opportunities that can improve business performance and focuses on actions that support financial performance, operational excellence, and customer experience.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in business strategy, business development, corporate strategy, finance, data analytics, marketing, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• At least 8 years of experience in strategy, business development, corporate development, management consulting, or a related field.
• Proven industry and operating model acumen in regulated and complex environments.
• Experience leading and governing cross-functional decision-making forums to drive timely, documented outcomes.
• Ability to negotiate priorities and trade-offs to align stakeholders on plans, sequencing, and outcomes.
• Experience building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders to advance strategic initiatives.
• Ability to apply advanced analytics, modeling, and forecasting to inform capacity, cost, and value decisions.
• Experience translating ambiguous business problems into structured analyses, options, and recommendations.
