About The Position

We are searching for top talent for Director AI/DS Platforms, Innovation. This position can be based in the following locations: Hybrid: Raritan, NJ; West Chester, PA; Mumbai, India Remote candidates in CA, NJ, and PA will be considered on a case-by-case basis and if approved by the company. While you are welcome to apply to any or all of the postings, we recommend focusing on the specific country(s) that align with your preferred location(s): US: R-076738 India: R-077613 The Director AI & DS Platforms, Innovation will own the build, delivery, and operationalization of a secure, compliant, and scalable AI platform and AI product ecosystem that enables MedTech business units to deliver measurable, high‑impact AI & DS solutions. This role operates within a federated model: business units own outcomes and use cases while the enterprise platform provides reusable capabilities, governance, drive AI literacy and operational rigor to scale AI responsibly across the organization.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 15+ years of progressive IT experience with substantial responsibility for Data & Analytics and platform delivery in regulated industries (life sciences, MedTech, or similar).
  • Demonstrated hands‑on and strategic expertise with cloud platforms (Azure and AWS) and modern data platform architectures (data Lakehouse/warehouse, feature stores, streaming, APIs).
  • Consistent track record leading large‑scale, enterprise transformation programs and delivering production‑grade platform products (MLOps, data engineering, integration).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory, privacy, security, and commercial compliance considerations relevant to medical technology and healthcare.
  • Experience leading and developing high‑performing, geographically distributed, cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent partner management, executive communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills; proven track record to influence in a matrixed organization.
  • Outcomes‑focused mindset with strong organizational change, problem solving, and continuous improvement orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Cross‑functional experience partnering across Commercial, R&D, and Supply Chain functions.
  • Familiarity with Generative AI, model governance, Responsible AI practices, and production MLOps.
  • Experience with FinOps, cloud cost optimization, and vendor management for large platform estates.
  • Prior experience in MedTech, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver the MedTech AI platform vision, roadmap, and operating model, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities.
  • Develop core capabilities in AI/ML, Generative AI, MLOps, and system integration.
  • Ensure platform architecture and operations align with security, privacy, and healthcare regulations.
  • Transform key business goals into scalable AI solutions, partnering with business leaders for impact.
  • Accelerate value with standardized frameworks, templates, and repeatable components.
  • Identify and operationalize platform services needed for multiple use cases to drive standardization and reuse.
  • Lead platform financial management, optimize costs and performance, and align investments with business outcomes.
  • Implement FinOps practices for efficient AI workload management and deliver visibility on costs and value.
  • Contribute towards enterprise AI governance, lead Responsible AI implementation, and ensure compliant innovation.
  • Advise leadership on AI strategy, risks, and opportunities, and apply product management practices to platform services.
  • Build and lead a high-performing, distributed team, developing technical and business skills in AI, data, and platform.
  • Develop a culture of innovation, inclusion, accountability, continuous learning, and drive AI literacy.
