About The Position

Peloton Interactive, Inc. seeks Director, AI and Security Engineering in New York City, NY. This role involves directing cross-functional engineering teams in the design, development, and deployment of enterprise security systems. The position requires aligning technical roadmaps with cybersecurity goals, mentoring senior engineering staff, and governing the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC) for various platforms. Responsibilities include overseeing risk assessments, security architecture reviews, vulnerability testing, and leading multi-cloud security strategies. A key focus will be architecting and implementing security solutions for AI workloads, including LLMs and agentic AI, and managing automated ML/AI tools within the S-SDLC. The role also requires partnering with leadership to ensure compliance with data protection laws and industry standards.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline, and eight (8) years of experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field, OR Bachelor’s degree (or its foreign degree equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in the job offered or in any occupation in a related field.

  • CSPM (Cloud Security Governance Posture management) (5 Years)
  • Experience with secure SDLC strategy across mobile (iOS/Android), web and ecommerce platforms (2 years)
  • Software development experience (4 Years)
  • AI development/ AI security (1 Year)
  • At least 5 years of experience required in a cybersecurity leadership or management capacity.

Responsibilities

  • Direct cross-functional engineering teams in the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of enterprise security systems.
  • Align technical roadmaps with organizational cybersecurity goals.
  • Provide mentorship and performance evaluation for senior engineering staff.
  • Govern the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC) for mobile, API, and e-commerce platforms.
  • Oversee risk assessments, security architecture reviews, and vulnerability testing protocols (SAST/SCA/Pen-testing).
  • Lead multi-cloud security strategies (AWS/GCP).
  • Oversee Cloud Security Posture Management (CSPM), container security, data security and Identity and Access Management (IAM) to protect cloud-native applications.
  • Architect and lead the implementation of scalable security solutions for LLM (Large Language Models) and agentic AI workloads, implementing threat mitigation strategies.
  • Direct the implementation of automated machine learning (ML) and artificial intelligence (AI) tools within the Secure Software Development Life Cycle (S-SDLC).
  • Manage enterprise-wide processes for the automated identification, classification, and mitigation of security vulnerabilities in software code and infrastructure.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, Enterprise Technology and Legal leadership to ensure compliance of technical systems with domestic and international data protection laws and industry security standards.
