Director, Agentic Product Transformation

VisaFoster City, CA
$178,300 - $285,600Hybrid

About The Position

This is a rare opportunity to lead one of the most significant transformations in enterprise product management: the shift from traditional PM workflows to AI-agent-powered product delivery. Visa is building a multi-agent AI platform that automates and augments the core activities of product management — from discovery and prioritization through documentation, stakeholder alignment, and release. This role is the change leadership engine behind that platform: ensuring that hundreds of product managers across a global organization can embrace this new way of working with clarity, confidence, and measurable impact. This is not traditional change management. This is about helping experienced professionals evolve their craft — from individual product authors to directors of AI-powered workflows — and doing it at enterprise scale, fast. The right candidate isn’t looking to execute an established playbook. They want to write a new one.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • 10+ years of experience in product management, enterprise transformation, or organizational strategy, with at least 5 years at a senior leadership level
  • Demonstrated track record leading large-scale organizational change or technology adoption programs
  • Experience navigating complex, global, matrixed enterprise environments
  • Hands-on experience with generative AI or agentic tools in a professional context

Nice To Haves

  • 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD
  • Background in payments, fintech, or financial services is a plus but not required
  • A transformation leader with conviction: You have led large-scale organizational change programs and know how to navigate resistance, build coalitions, and sustain momentum. You don’t just manage change — you shape it.
  • A product management practitioner: You know what great PM work looks like from the inside. You understand the workflows, artifacts, and decisions that agentic AI is changing, and you can speak to that with credibility.
  • Genuinely fluent in AI: You have hands-on experience with generative AI tools. You’ve formed real views on where agents excel, where they fail, and how humans need to stay engaged. You can speak with conviction — not just familiarity.
  • An executive-level communicator: You distill complex, ambiguous ideas into clear narratives that drive action. You have advised at SVP/EVP level and know how to build alignment across competing priorities in a global enterprise.
  • A capability architect: You know how to design change programs that stick. You understand adult learning, adoption curves, and the difference between compliance and genuine capability shift.
  • Comfortable at the frontier: This transformation doesn’t have a proven playbook. The right candidate is energized — not intimidated — by that fact.

Responsibilities

  • Define the Agentic PM Transformation Strategy: Establish a clear, enterprise-wide point of view on what “agentic product management” means in practice: which tasks agents handle, how humans stay in the loop, and what the PM role looks like on the other side. Own the roadmap that gets Visa from here to there.
  • Drive Executive Alignment and Sponsorship: Serve as the senior change leader accountable to SVP and EVP stakeholders. Shape the transformation narrative, secure sponsorship, and translate the agentic PM vision into language that resonates at every leadership level.
  • Design and Execute Adoption Programs: Build the programs, communications, and enablement that move product managers from awareness to fluency with agentic tools. Address both the practical (how to use the platform) and the psychological (how to calibrate trust in AI outputs and maintain accountability for outcomes).
  • Build New PM Capabilities at Scale: Identify and develop the skills that define great product managers in an agentic world: directing AI workflows, validating machine-generated artifacts, and maintaining strategic judgment when automation increases speed. Scale these capabilities across the global product organization.
  • Own the Transformation Narrative: Craft and maintain the story of what this transformation is and why it matters. Help PMs understand that AI doesn’t replace their judgment — it amplifies their impact. Drive understanding, engagement, and momentum across the organization.
  • Measure and Accelerate Impact: Establish a rigorous framework for measuring adoption and value realization. Track how time-to-insight, artifact quality, and team throughput change as agentic workflows take hold. Use data to continuously improve the transformation program.
  • Orchestrate Cross-Functional Alignment: Align Product, Technology, Legal, HR, and Risk around a coherent approach to the transformation. Manage dependencies, surface risks early, and ensure the program is executed sustainably across a complex, global organization.
