Responsibilities

  • Overseeing all aspects of implementation and operations of Advance Purchasing Programs (APP) globally.
  • Establishing and ensuring adherence to best practice policies and procedures.
  • Developing, implementing, and managing best practices in support of APP initiatives.
  • Establishing and implementing methods and best practices related to systems and processes that support inventory forecasting, purchasing, and material control.
  • Developing, implementing, and tracking Materials Management metrics; performing root cause analysis and actions to improve any metric not meeting targeted goals.
  • Developing strategies to drive efficiency and effectiveness of Warehouse operations, including inventory management/staging, material handling processes, quality, and logistics.
  • Developing operating guidelines, policies, and procedures for inventory and warehousing.
  • Monitoring overall inventory accuracy for all locations and developing action plans with direct reports to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Ensuring that inventory controls are in place at all locations.
  • Establishing inventory and warehousing performance measures.
  • Representing the materials organization on corporate materials task force teams.
  • Managing department budget, associated costs, and resources.
  • Participating as a member of the operations team in making cross-functional operational decisions.
  • Collaborating with Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality to achieve cost reduction targets.
  • Selecting, evaluating, and managing employees to ensure the efficient operations of the function.
