About The Position

The Director of Administrative Computing provides strategic leadership, management, and oversight of the University’s administrative computing systems and enterprise applications. This role is responsible for ensuring the effective operation, integration, and security of systems that support core administrative functions, including finance, human resources, student information systems, and institutional reporting. The Director works collaboratively with campus leadership and functional departments to align technology solutions with institutional goals, enhance operational efficiency, and support data-driven decision-making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in administrative computing, enterprise systems, or IT management.
  • Must be able to lift 10 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and recommend technology solutions to improve business processes and operational efficiency.
  • Partner with senior leadership to support institutional priorities through technology initiatives.
  • Oversee the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise systems.
  • Manage system upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across administrative systems.
  • Support institutional reporting, analytics, and decision-making through data systems.
  • Collaborate with Institutional Research and other departments on data governance initiatives.
  • Supervise and lead administrative computing staff, including developers, analysts, and system administrators.
  • Foster a collaborative, customer-focused team environment.
  • Provide professional development and performance management for staff.
  • Lead and manage technology projects, including system implementations and process improvements.
  • Establish project timelines, deliverables, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Ensure compliance with data security standards, privacy regulations, and University policies.
  • Collaborate with IT security teams to protect institutional data and systems.
  • Support audit processes and regulatory requirements.
  • Serve as a liaison between IT and administrative departments such as Finance, Human Resources, and Student Affairs.
