Requirements

  • Minimum of ten years of healthcare experience in a hospital setting to include demonstrated experience with product line/product line leadership and ability to significantly grow service lines in a collegial and teamwork environment required.
  • Minimum of five years of leadership experience required.
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills required.
  • Ability to establish order and perform multiple functions in a complex, changing environment required.
  • Demonstrate an integrative systems approach to complex problem solving required.
  • Effective analytical, business, and marketing skills required.
  • Knowledge of business and health administration and information technology management required.
  • Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Nebraska or current compact state license required.

Nice To Haves

  • Acute care experience in an academic medical center preferred.
  • Master's degree in nursing or health-related field preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop business plans & action plans to achieve operational metrics (Pt experience, HAC’s, Nurse Sensitive Indicators).
  • Manage the operational area to ensure effective and efficient operations.
  • Develop and implement patient care service goals and objectives ensuring compliance with accreditation standards and governmental regulations.
  • Accountable for developing and revising policies & procedures related to organizational area and ensures compliance with these policies.
  • Provide effective leadership to achieve patient, clinical, financial, quality, and strategic outcomes.
  • Responsible for positive physician relationships, staff development and retention.
  • Responsible for the execution of clinical program strategies.
  • Share the responsibility of ensuring that the collective leadership of the department provides the organizational direction necessary to effect change and promote excellent patient care.
