Requirements

Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
Valid Driver's License.
Prior experience with Subsite or DCI locating equipment required.
Capacity to read and understand blueprints.
Knowledge of utility depths and placements.
General knowledge of construction practices is required.
Able to work in trenches, manholes, tunnels and confined spaces and in work settings with moderate to loud noise levels.
Able to move in different positions – crouching, kneeling, reaching, bending and lifting 75 lbs., unassisted.
Able to keep good logs and consistent reporting.
Willing to work overtime when required.
Willing to travel.
Willing to work in all-weather conditions.
Must get a CDL Permit within 30 days of start date.
Must obtain CDL within 6 months of start date.
Self-motivated and able to work well in groups.

Nice To Haves

Company will provide industry training and certifications if not already secured.
CDL is a plus.
Prior experience in underground fiber and coax construction a plus.
Prior experience in standard and high risk areas preferred.

Responsibilities

Assisting Drill Operator in locating drill head and drilling in accordance with blueprints.
Verifying locate marks and confirming the location of existing facilities.
Assisting with clean-up and other duties as assigned.
Maintaining equipment per manufacturer’s specifications and safety guidelines.
