About The Position
Family Care Solutions is seeking caring, upbeat, and dependable individuals who enjoy lifting others up. As a Support Buddy, you'll provide encouragement and guide others as they build independence, develop new skills, and work towards their goals. You'll assist your buddy develop skills in areas such as: Personal safety, Money management, Social and communication skills, Healthy lifestyle habits, Community involvement, Household and homemaking tasks, Fine and gross motor skill development, Goal achievement and daily living skills. Every day is different, and your support helps individuals gain confidence in their everyday life.
Requirements
- No previous experience required, all training is provided.
- Compassionate, patient, and reliable.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Help support individuals with intellectual and physical disabilities in their everyday moments and big life events.
- Provide encouragement and guide others as they build independence, develop new skills, and work towards their goals.
