About The Position

Merakey is seeking a compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professional (DSP) to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Slippery Rock, Pennsylvania. The DSP helps individuals build independence, develop social and communication skills, and navigate daily living activities. This role includes supporting personal goals and participating in activities such as community outings and engagement. No experience is required; paid training is provided. The position offers shifts from 6:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. every Sunday, Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday. Pay is up to $18 per hour with election of the Enhanced Pay option.

Requirements

• A verifiable high school diploma or GED.
• A current and valid driver's license.
• Must be 18 or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life-skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support and transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
• Help individuals develop independence and social and communication skills, and support their personal goals.
• Act as a mentor, coach, and advocate.
