About The Position

Southside Unlimited is seeking a Direct Support Professional to empower adults with developmental disabilities to thrive. The team uses innovative approaches to help individuals lead fulfilling, independent lives in their communities. This role involves being a Champion of Change, supporting individuals in achieving their goals of active citizenship, meaningful work, and personal growth. The Direct Support Professional will also act as a Community Connector, assisting participants in volunteer opportunities, and as a Skill-Building Coach, helping individuals learn job skills and develop coping strategies for daily challenges.

Requirements

Prior experience working with people with disabilities and providing behavioral support.
Possess a reliable vehicle that seats up to 3 additional people.
Maintain a DMV record with no more than 3 points in the last 4 years.
Hold a valid Driver's License with proof of car insurance and vehicle registration.
Be CPR/AED/First Aid Certified.
Pass a background check.
