About The Position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) position involves supporting individuals living with developmental disabilities to achieve their goals. This role focuses on assisting residents in townhouses or apartments within the Supported Living Program to develop basic adult living skills for maximum independence. The level of responsibility and supervision is tailored to each resident's individual needs. The hourly rate starts at $17.00 per hour, with a full-time schedule of 40 hours per week, Sunday through Thursday from 12:30 PM to 8:30 PM, at program locations in Woodbridge, VA.

Requirements

Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities and/or mental health challenges, or transferrable skills that relate to serving this population (such as experience in education, caregiving, health care, other human services or customer service).
Ability to pass criminal background check.
Ability to attend and pass required trainings.
A Valid driver’s license, minimum three-year acceptable driving record and reliable transportation.
A High school diploma or GED.
Flexibility and positive attitude.
