About The Position

Access Community Care (ACC) is hiring compassionate, dependable individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)/Personal Support Workers (PSWs) supporting adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) in the Beaverton, Tigard, and Hillsboro areas. No experience is necessary as ACC provides paid training and ongoing support. This role is ideal for individuals interested in healthcare, caregiving, behavioral health, social services, psychology, education, or anyone passionate about helping others live independently and thrive in their communities. As a DSP, you will build meaningful relationships while supporting individuals with daily living skills, community inclusion, personal growth, and independence. ACC is dedicated to empowering adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives within their communities. Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years old
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
  • Willingness to transport participants in your personal vehicle
  • Ability to pass a background check
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer and documentation skills
  • Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude

Nice To Haves

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

Responsibilities

  • Support individuals in achieving personal goals and greater independence
  • Assist with daily living activities while promoting dignity and choice
  • Provide transportation to appointments, errands, and community activities
  • Encourage participation in hobbies, recreation, and community events
  • Build positive relationships and provide emotional encouragement
  • Assist with budgeting and life skills development
  • Maintain accurate documentation including daily notes and progress reports
  • Support individuals in maintaining a safe, healthy living environment
  • Advocate for individual rights and community inclusion
  • This role may include active community outings such as walking, hiking, shopping, and attending local events.
