About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team at their program in Slippery Rock, PA. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. DSPs will work in various settings, making memories with individuals by following their Individual Support Plan. This includes working on social and communication skills, teaching daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry, and fostering independence and a sense of pride. The goal is to enhance individual independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Driver's license required for community based homes.
• A verifiable high school diploma or GED is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals.
• Following the Individuals Support Plan to work on social and communication skills.
