About The Position
REM Community Services, a part of the Sevita family, provides community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Sevita believes every person has the right to live well, and everyone deserves to have a fulfilling career. The role involves joining a mission-driven team and creating relationships that motivate. The position is for every other Saturday & Sunday, 3PM-10PM, with a wage of $21/hour. The role involves helping people grow, learn, and live well, developing meaningful relationships with individuals served, and experiencing ownership and trust from leaders. The Direct Support Professional will take initiative to help participants be part of the community and enjoy their favorite activities, and support participants with developmental goals like budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. This role will also assist people with their personal hygiene and support individuals who may have behavioral challenges and other complex needs. Requirements
- Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination preferred
