About The Position
Merakey is seeking a mission-driven, compassionate, and reliable Direct Support Professional for its Home and Community Division in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania. The role supports individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in building independence, developing social and communication skills, and navigating daily living activities. The position offers paid training, and no prior experience is required. The listed pay is up to $18.00 per hour with election of the Enhanced Pay option. The available shift is 3rd shift.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have a valid driver's license.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
- Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
- Provide community support and transportation.
- Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
- Help individuals achieve personal goals and participate in community engagement.
