About The Position

ViaQuest Residential Services Direct Support Professionals provide support to individuals with developmental disabilities in their homes. The role aims to foster individuals’ independence, choice, and empowerment while ensuring their health and safety. Training is provided, and no prior experience is required. Full-time and part-time positions are available in Toledo, Ohio, and surrounding areas, with pay of $17.25–$18.25 per hour.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Have a high school diploma or GED.
• Have a valid driver's license.
• Have a motor vehicle record that meets specified requirements, including no OVI/DUI, reckless operation, or speeding violations more than 20 MPH over the posted limit; no more than two moving violations in the last two years; and no more than five points.
• Have a reliable vehicle with active insurance.
• Be able to lift, push, or carry up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to bend, kneel, crouch, balance, and assist individuals as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities, fostering independence, choice, and empowerment while meeting health and safety needs.
• Supervise, teach, and assist individuals in all aspects of their lives.
• Perform household tasks, including meal preparation and maintaining a clean and safe living environment.
• Provide personal care assistance.
