About The Position

Merakey is seeking compassionate and reliable Direct Support Professionals in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania, to support individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role helps individuals build independence, develop social and communication skills, and take part in daily living activities and community engagement. DSPs serve as mentors, coaches, and advocates, and may support activities such as outings to parks and sensory gardens and progress toward personal goals. No experience is required; paid training is provided. Pay is advertised at up to $19.50 per hour with election of the Enhanced Pay option.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license.
• No prior experience is required; paid training is provided.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs).
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills.
• Provide community support and transportation.
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support as trained.
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs.
• Support individuals in building independence and developing social and communication skills.
• Help individuals participate in daily living activities, community engagement, and personal goals.
