About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) provide one-on-one care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, helping them build confidence, strengthen everyday skills, and live more independently in the comfort of their own homes. This role focuses on building trust, creating stability, and helping others grow through meaningful, relationship-centered work. BAYADA offers an apprentice training program for those without direct experience. The role is based in Bedford, PA, Somerset, PA, and surrounding areas.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
• High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
• Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to activities
• Willingness to travel between clients within your assigned area

Responsibilities

• Provide support with daily routines and personal care
• Help individuals build life skills and maintain independence
• Offer encouragement, consistency, and meaningful companionship
