Working closely with clinical staff, DSPs support therapeutic and behavioral plans, including transportation for outings, medical appointments, and shopping. They also assist with daily living skills such as meal preparation and medication administration, and provide guidance on developmental goals like community participation, budgeting, exercise, nutrition, and vocational responsibilities. Additionally, DSPs support individuals with personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and toileting, and help redirect agitated or aggressive behaviors.
