About The Position
Direct Support Professionals (DSP) work with individuals experiencing developmental disabilities in their homes and communities. This role assists individuals in their daily lives, collaborating with them and their support networks to ensure they can live fully within the community. DSPs uphold individuals' rights to direct their own lives, recognizing unique gifts and needs, and support individuals in developing skills for personal growth and development. This is a Permanent Relief Support role, providing call-in or back-fill support.
Requirements
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Access to reliable transportation
Nice To Haves
- 3-6 Months Experience (volunteer or employment)
- Developmental Services Worker, Child and Youth Worker, or post-secondary education in a related field
