About The Position

Sevita is hiring a Direct Support Professional to support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) in Pittsburgh (Churchill Boro), Pennsylvania. In this role, you will help participants grow, learn, and live well; build meaningful relationships; encourage community involvement and participation in favorite activities; and support developmental goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. You will also assist with personal hygiene and support individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs. The role is listed as full-time evening work, with shifts Tuesday and Thursday from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m. and Wednesday and Friday from 2 p.m. to 11 p.m. The stated pay rate is $16.00 per hour, and on-demand pay is available.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.
• At least one year of driving experience.
• Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible disposition.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
