About The Position
A 23-year-old male in the Liverpool area is seeking a Direct Support Professional to assist him with independent living skills, safety skills, and positive communication skills. This role includes supporting tasks such as money management, budgeting, and daily planning, as well as helping him with positive interactions during community outings. The DSP will provide consistent encouragement, ensure safety, and help create meaningful, engaging routines that build confidence and autonomy. The ideal candidate is patient, reliable, and energetic, with a supportive and engaging approach. You should feel comfortable participating in community activities, trying new experiences together, and helping him explore his interests. While experience working with people with disabilities is helpful, it is not required—what matters most is creativity, compassion, and a genuine commitment to empowering others to thrive.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with disabilities is helpful.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
